Protect our children

I’m Gary Morris and this fundraiser is for my family business and the mission that has been part of our lives for four generations: teaching child safety around pools. I was raised in San Diego, and over the years I’ve traveled across the U.S. building water parks, cleaning and repairing pools, and being called in when serious pool accidents happened. I have seen firsthand how quickly a fun day in the water can turn tragic, especially when parents and communities do not know the risks around swimming pools and pool equipment. Before safety laws changed for main drains, I witnessed heartbreaking situations involving children getting trapped. Those moments have stayed with me, and even though some dangers have slowed down because of better laws, older pools and a lack of public knowledge still put children at risk today.

That is why I want to meet with parents, teach one-on-one, and put together classes in Las Vegas and beyond. The funds from this fundraiser will help me create safety brochures, purchase class supplies, and cover travel during the off pool season so I can reach more families and communities. I’m still balancing pool cleaning and repair work while trying to grow this safety education effort, and your support would help me keep building it. I’m asking for your help to protect children from preventable pool accidents, especially in older neighborhoods and places where safety education is missing.
